Travel grants (max. € 800; sponsored by EMDS)

Members of the EMDS (below the age of 35) can apply for EMDS Conference Travel Awards. What candidates for EMDS travel awards can do is:

a) become a member of EMDS, unless they are a member already (membership fee is € 25) 
b) apply for an award 
c1) register and pay for the conference directly or 
c2) register and pay for the conference after having received information that they will get an award.

A few spaces have been reserved at the EMDS 2012 meeting to ensure that the awardees of EMDS Travel Awards can still register in case they have not done so yet.

Applications need to be submitted to the president of the EMDS (contact details can be found on the EMDS website) 3 months before the EMDS conference (i.e. 2nd June 2012). After the travel award deadline, a decision is being made by the EMDS council based on CV, publication record, scientific quality of the submitted abstract and financial needs of the applicant (usually within 2 weeks) and the awardees are informed upfront.
Please be aware that registrations are processed at the registration fee valid at the time of registration. Register and pay the registration fee before 31th May to take advantage of a € 100 early bird registration fee discount.

Poster prizes (€ 200; sponsored by EMDS)

During the Annual EMDS Meeting, up to five Poster Prizes will be awarded to the first authors of the best presentations. The selection is made by members of the organizing committee.
